I delved into some extensive modifications and set up work for this guitar. It initially arrived with a rather parched and rough fretboard, which wasn't entirely unexpected given its budget-friendly price point. To rectify this, I devoted some time to meticulously sand it using both 800 and 400 grit sandpaper, applying oil in between to rejuvenate the wood. I also took care to round off the edges for a smoother feel.
My primary objective, however, was to integrate a MIDI bridge system into the guitar. My vision was to utilize the instrument for conducting my orchestras and perhaps even dabble in some piano emulation. The most challenging part of this project was creating a hole in the side of the body to accommodate the necessary components. Armed with a Dremel and a set of chisels, I painstakingly carved out the space required for the jack and successfully routed the wire from the bridge to complete this intricate modification.
