Epiphone Casino (2006)
One of the most helpful things in my guitar journey has been Craigslist. I had a Jackson guitar, complete with a Floyd Rose tremolo system, but I grew tired of the constant string changes and tuning hassles. Seeking a change, I stumbled upon a red Epiphone Casino on Craigslist, and the owner was open to a trade. In a “typical” parking lot meeting, we played each other's guitars, and the Epiphone Casino immediately struck a chord with me. Its hollow body, vintage charm, and warm resonance were a stark contrast to my Jackson. One game-changing aspect was my switch to flat wound strings. They brought out a new depth and tightness in the Casino's tone, allowing for a dynamic range that perfectly matched my playing style.
