Fender Toronado

During my middle school and high school years, rollerblades and bicycles were my trusty companions for the short journey to Mars Music in Meyerland Plaza. It quickly became a cherished destination where I would while away my hours. All I had to do was roll up, and the world of guitars would open up before me.

One particular day stands out in my memory when I stumbled upon a guitar that sported a "Kurt Cobain" style. This guitar was like no other I had encountered before. It went by the name of the Toronado and possessed an offset body style that had an undeniable allure.

Time passed, and many years later, my path led me to California. It was here that I finally had the opportunity to acquire the coveted Toronado. The moment it arrived was filled with anticipation, and upon unwrapping it, I discovered that, over the years, some attempts at touch-up work had been made on its black finish, though not particularly skillfully. Despite these minor imperfections, it was precisely the guitar I had yearned for all those years ago.
